The album was the band’s sixth consecutive studio album to debut at number one on the US Billboard 200, selling 291,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, and topping the charts in 57 countries. In April 2017 the album was certified platinum by the RIAA and in 2020 Lars Ulrich ranked “Hardwired… “ as his favourite Metallica album. The album artwork, created by Herring & Herring, is now available as a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle printed on high quality board.
